Solid Transparent Main ( Modeling )

   Step-by-step instructions :

Solid Transparent Main causes members that you select in Modeling to be displayed in solid transparent main form. You must do either step 1b (preselection) or step 3 (in-tool selection) to perform this operation.

1 . Before using this tool:

1a (if needed) : Process and Create Solids . Before they have undergone Create Solids , members can only be displayed in stick form.

Select Items bindings (step 1b)

1b (optional) : In Select Items mode with an appropriate selection filter selected, use Select or Select + (or draw an area box or Select Members by Number ) to select the member(s) that you want to change to solid transparent main. When members are selected, they are displayed in the " Primary selection color ," which by default is green. Use Select- if you want to deselect members.

2 . Invoke Solid Transparent Main using any one (1) of the following methods:

Method 1 : Click the Solid Transparent Main icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be taken from the group named ' View -- Solids Mode ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If " Modeling layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose View > Solid Transparent Main .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : Solid Transparent Main can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . If you preselected members (step 1b), you can right-click ( Menu ) then choose " Solid Transparent Main " on the context menu .

Method 6 : In Solids Mode , left-click ( Trans Main ).

3 . Skip this step if you already selected members in step 1b.

Select Item(s) bindings

3a (if you didn't do 1b) : Solid Transparent Main prompts you to use Select Item(s) mouse bindings to Select and/or Select + one or more members that you want to change to solid transparent main form. You can also select the member(s) by drawing an area box or using the Model Tree . Press the Enter key (or right-click ( Menu ) and choose " OK " on the menu ) when you are done selecting the member(s).

4 . Solid Transparent Main displays the selected members in solid transparent main form (except members that have not yet undergone Create Solids ). If you did step 1b, the selected members continue to be selected -- that is, they are highlighted in the " Primary selection color ."

Tip: When you Open ( Ctrl + o ) a different view, you will find that members displayed in solid transparent main in your current view are also solid transparent main in that other view.
